5. Kangal
The Kangal, a giant mastiff from the Turkic regions, was formed to repel wolves and bears. Depending on upbringing it can be gentle or difficult. Protective by instinct, usually calm when settled, it may deliver a bite force reported up to 743 psi if it senses danger. Firm socialization is key.
