4. Winter hat versus cap
If a winter hat is not worn daily, laundering once every two months—roughly three times a season—is sufficient. Many tolerate machine washing, but always read the care label.
Caps require gentler handling. Hand wash twice a year in cold water to avoid staining, warping, or fading.
